TAFE Queensland is a member of the Zero Harm Leadership program making the health and safety of people working, learning or visiting any of our premises our top priority.
Before any contractor or visitor commences work at TAFE Queensland they will need to complete a General Induction and a Site Specific Induction.
The Contractor General Induction can be found at this link. This general induction ensures that visitors and contractors are aware of their WHS obligations before commencing work. It includes information and questions to answer. Upon completion of this induction participation will be recorded on our Contractor and Visitor Induction Register.
The Site Specific Induction is undertaken by our Health and Safety Team / Office Co-ordinator prior to work commencing. This site specific induction ensures that contractors and tenants are aware of the specific location based WHS hazards and safety concerns. If contractors or visitors are working across multiple locations they will be required to undertake a site specific induction for each location.
Nothing in TAFE Queensland's induction process may be construed as implying or suggesting that the contractor or tenant is in anyway released or absolved from fully complying with all its statutory obligations of common law.
Please note it is a requirement that the Contractor General Induction and Site Specific inductions are undertaken annually.
